How to Prepare Cress

  1. Wash cress under cool running water, trim away the roots with scissors, pat dry with paper towels, or place in a salad spinner before using. Do this just before serving.
  2. To keep leaves crisp, do not let them soak.
  3. Tired leaves can be revived by rinsing in cool water.

How do you use cress in food?

Add cress to egg mayonnaise sandwiches, salads and soups; or use it to garnish canapés and grilled dishes. Cress is often found in bags of mixed salad leaves.
