How do you mount epiphytic plants?

Take your plant and wrap the roots in the moistened sphagnum moss. Bind this to the base of the plant and then take your mounting piece and attach the base of the plant. Use glue, twine or whatever method you choose. Take care to hide any string in the foliage of the plant for best appearance.

How do you mount bromeliads?

Wrap the soft root ball with sphagnum moss. Choose an indented spot on the driftwood and tuck the bromeliad in, holding firmly. Wind a length of fishing line or wire around the wood, covering the base of the plant at the root system. Wrap it around 6 times and tie firmly in the back.

For me, dischidia ovata grows best in bright light, mounted high in the viv, and allowed to stay fairly dry. To establish good roots from a cutting you need to mist it very often, or pack wet sphagnum around the root nodes, but once a mounted cutting has nice roots, let it get dry often and keep the lights bright.
